Uplift Joins N.O. Support Grant Coalition to Provide Aid to Families Impacted by Lack of Paid Leave

Uplift is excited to join with innovative baby formula company Bobbie as proud members of the N.O. Support Grant Coalition. This coalition is dedicated to supporting families nationwide who are affected by the absence of federal paid leave.

"At Uplift, our mission is deeply rooted in creating positive change and amplifying voices often unheard, including families who desperately need the support provided by paid family leave," says Corinne Graper, Founder and CEO at Uplift. "By joining forces with the N.O. Support Grant Coalition, we are putting our values into action and advocating for those in need to make both a direct impact in the lives of families across the country and advocating to make this change sustainable."

By collaborating with other companies, the coalition is extending assistance to 200 families across the country through $580 microgrants that aim to alleviate the financial burdens faced by families due to the lack of paid leave benefits.

The choice of $580 per microgrant holds significant symbolism, representing the minimum monthly benefit proposed by the Family and Medical Act, currently awaiting approval in Congress. By adopting this figure, the coalition is not only offering immediate relief but also advocating for substantial systemic changes to benefit families in the long term.

Uplift is sponsoring two families through the microgrants provided by the coalition.

This collaboration underscores Uplift’s commitment to working directly with communities to address pressing social issues. Together, with the other members of the N.O. Support Grant Coalition, Uplift seeks to create meaningful change and provide support to those who need it most.
